Two recent studies from Vanguard and Morningstar have calculated the financial value (in the form of improved results) from working with a professional advisor. According to the Vanguard study, certain advisor actions can add about 3% in net returns to a client’s portfolio. The Morningstar study found that a competent advisor can improve retirement income by as much as 22 %.
